100% Chance of a Run
At the shoot for Nike’s 100% Chance of a Run we needed 100% chance of rain. So we brought the rain, with water trucks, rain towers and articulated boom lifts. Our models ran though it all day but stayed dry thanks to Nike’s protective gear, which offers athletes all the protection required to run – whatever the weather.
To support this message, we developed a press kit to inspire people worldwide to lace up their running shoes, get outside and run against the elements rather than watching the winter unfold through fogged-up windows.
Specifically looking at running in difficult conditions, we sought expert advice and worked alongside the Nike Science Research Lab on how best to stay safe and keep good technique to get the most from every run.
In addition to the rain shoot, US photographer Steve Bonini captured stunning night and cold shots to showcase the new innovative designs. We also spoke to running groups around the world who shared their experiences and tips for running in winter conditions, all helping us to ensure runners' spirits were kept high, not dampened.
